Marcus Wong is with the National University of Singapore, where he facilitates overseas internship opportunities for students, primarily in China. Outside of work, he works with schools and communities in Batam, Indonesia, to make learning accessible through setting up mini libraries.

He has past experiences in startups – an insect farming startup, an ESOP and corporate secretary startup, and an educational startup for children with learning challenges, where he was the Head of Commercial, Co-Founder, and employee number one respectively.

He has also spent close to 6 years in the public service, with Enterprise Singapore and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. He was involved in growing the Singapore startup ecosystem and championing industry development for the aviation industry and the unmanned aviation (drones) space.

He holds an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology and an MSc and BSc in Economics from Singapore Management University. While in SMU, he co-founded a cafe with four friends. Marcus is passionate about connecting people and used to host gatherings to bring people together over drinks, books, and conversations. He was also the team manager of the Singapore national floorball team and enjoys reading, running, swimming, and listening to instrumental music.
